Linux Games List

Linux and gaming are often rarely mentioned in the same breath. However, the fact is that there’s nothing stopping Linux from becoming a good gaming platform. Linux gaming resources are ever growing on the Internet, and in this post, I’m going to link to one of them, StrangeGamer.com’s Linux games list.

The list classifies games into genres such as 3D shooters, arcade and strategy, to name a few. It is well organised and easy to navigate. Additional information such as license type, links and reviews (whenever available) are included in the game descriptions.

All in all, a real gem for Linux gamers everywhere.

Only one response to “Linux Games List” so far.

I used to have Doom on Linux. I’m surprised a group of people haven’t started turning out Linux games. After all, most PC games are already written in C++ and stuff, so exporting to Linux shouldn’t be too hard.
Of course, MS’s Direct X and other things might have made it harder to do, with most windows games relying on it for graphics and stuff.

Hmmm, maybe I need to expland my business to include Linux Game Making! 🙂
