This is no suprise to me, especially after seeing the tremendous progress achieved by open source virtualisation software like Xen. Obviously, Microsoft feels threatened by this new generation of open source software that it simply has to take drastic measures.
Well, personally, I’m just happy that now almost anyone can experiment in virtual servers regardless of the platform they’re on.
