Chris Lufer has created another ajax file management system using Prototype, Scriptaculous, and lots of his own JS.
You can check out the demo here. An interesting and useful Ajax implementation. Rumour has it that it will be released under an Open Source license. If proven true, this would definitely be a worthwhile project to hack on.
