Made in China? More Like ‘Sandpapered’

It’s events like this that makes me wonder how much of the multi-billion Chinese electronics and circuitry technology market are really legitimate. Cheap skilled manpower was never doubted when it comes to the Chinese workforce, however, this event casts doubts on their ability to legally perform cheap R&D.

After three years and millions of dollars pumped in as research grants, it’s finally been discovered that the Hanxin chip, claimed to be developed by Professor Chen Jin (formerly from Shanghai Jiaotong University) is really Motorola’s Freescale DSP chip.
