It was made known from Ed Bott’s blog that the prices for the Windows Vista series has been accidentally leaked on the Microsoft Canada web site. The bad news is that the web page has been taken offline. The good news is that Ed Bott made a copy of the price list available on his entry.

great scoop
can’t wait to get my hands on a copy, but the prices are ridiculously high.

Yeah, very high prices! I wonder if they’re trying to price themselves out of the market?

Personally, I believe now’s the right time for alternative OSs to shine.
The prices are estimates, mind you… actual retail prices in Malaysia might be lower. Frankly, I couldn’t be arsed about the prices… however, there seems to be some pretty interesting news about Vista on the security front

I wouldn’t mind switching OS’s if it’s just a question of productivity. Openoffice is just bloody excellent – and better with 2.0 and it’s free! but there are downsides for not going Windoze: games, man, games.

Ahhh… I don’t play games that much. But for those who do, I’d just like to say: winex, man, winex.
