International Women’s Day

Today is March 8; International Women’s Day. Which makes me feel very glad that I’m a man because I get the other 364 days of the year 😉

On a more serious note, we should really take a few minutes to read the linked Wikipedia article about International Women’s Day to appreciate its inception. Whether we admit it or not, women play an equally important part in the development on mankind in science, business, management and sociology among others.

I’d like to take the opportunity on this momentous day to give a shoutout to two women bloggers who continually give me inspiration and enjoyment over the years.

is a fellow .net domain blogger (she’s also a fellow Johorean by birth 😉 )who writes on a variety of topics. What makes me drawn to stalk her blog is the way she delivers her message; direct yet thoughtful, sometimes casual and sometimes intricately planned, but always, always Suanized, in her own special way.

Although many bloggers admire her for her fame, I for one wish I had half her wit and ability to express oneself. I see myself continually reading her posts for quite some years to come 🙂

Suanie, if you’re reading this; Happy International Women’s Day! All the best in your endeavours and keep up the good work.

What is it with me and girls whose name are suffixed by -ie?

Well, it’s hard not to appreciate ‘s writings. She’s the epitome of the word passion. She lives and breathes what she believes in and I’m glad she puts most of these in writing on her blog. And let me tell you she really writes! Almost all her posts are probably longer than a typical telenovela script.

I’ve been reading her blog for quite some time, and personally, I think she’s matured in her approach to life, and it shows in her more recent posts. I wish I had her artistic inclinations and her passion to really stand up for what she believes in.

Lainie, I admire your work and although I seem to comment less on your blog these days, rest assured that I still read your posts. Also, Happy International Women’s Day to you too.
