Wow… this has the potential to be the marketing flop of the millenium, or if CK somehow manage to pull this off; a textbook example of creative marketing.
Calvin Klein will be releasing in2u, a perfume which is described as (wait for this); the first fragrance for the technosexual generation.
Some of the more cheesier aspect of in2u and how CK is marketing it:
- The name in2u itself. If I were to be a competitor, I’d probably start a marketing campaign of my own which I’ll call wtf?!.
- They actually trademarked the word technosexual™!
- Check out their sample press material; “She likes how he blogs, her texts turn him on. Itâ€™s intense. For right now.”. I laughed my ass off when I read it for the first time… heck I’m still laughing, I can’t help it; it’s stuck in my head!
Wow… a perfume targetting bloggers and texters! Hell, it almost made me want to stop blogging!
In a related note, Valleywag has made a mockup ad for in2u… or is it better defined as a mockery? What do you think?
