Anthony of Antbag.com has written a wonderful piece on how to organise your desktop for productivity.
The idea is simple:
- Segment your desktop into a few visually distinguishable areas
- Label the areas accordingly
- Only place files that are relevant to the category of a particular area
A damn ingenius idea if you ask me!

Thank you for the kind words! I have to be honest. When I wrote the post, I was not sure if I would be the only one to think it was a cool idea. Thanks again!

Hi Anthony. Let me reassure you, it’s an excellently good idea! It’s one of those things that make you think, “Now why the hell didn’t I think of that?!”.

As I commented on Anthony’s blog, I have a different approach to desktop productivity – and I’m really curious what other people think of it…
