Everytime I read something about people pimping some Internet money making program there is one word that irritates the hell out of me: free. Why? Because it simply is not true! There’s no way in hell you’ll make money out of nothing. There is always (and I mean always) a catch to it.
The cold hard truth is: In order to make money (online or offline) you got to spend money first. There’s no other way around it!
This post will be very direct and some might even call it crude. But I’m fed up with people trying to make a million bucks of the Internet yet at the same time won’t even invest a dime to make their dreams a reality. So if you don’t have the stomach for pure, unadulterated truth; stop reading now!
Frankly I’m sick and tired of people wanting to get rich but don’t have the attitude to back up their ambitions. They want to be subsidised, spoonfed and hand-held towards what they think is their Internet fortune birthright.
If you are one of those people, then I have this to say to you: Nobody owes you a living, let alone a few million bucks!
You got to earn your keep; and earn here means working damn hard day in and day out to get those bucks everyone is chasing after.
To those people out there who still think that you can make money from the Internet out of nothing and without forking out a single cent; please take your life offline… indefinitely! The Internet is not for you and you’ll never amount to anything.
Use your head for a second and consider this: Can you earn a living without expenses? You can’t! Even if your first job is at a fast food joint that literally accepts any non-criminally insane person to work for them, you still need to fork out cash in order to get hired!
- You need to be presentable (ie. spend money grooming yourself and use a decent deodorant)
- You need to print out your resume (ie. spend money on the paper and ink, not to mention the time to compose the resume)
- You need to able to get to the interview location (ie. spend money on transportation)
It’s the same thing with making money online; you got to invest not only money but also time and energy. The good thing is that you can pretty much allocate which of these areas you’re willing to invest more on.
If you have cash to spare, you might be better off buying your way to more riches; ie. hiring the best web designers for your sites, get hosted on a dedicated server with a full time admin taking care of it and employ a good copywriter to generate your content.
Notice a correlation with running a real life business yet? Yes, you still need manpower and infrastructure to run an online enterprise!
If money is a little tight, then you have no choice but to spend a potentially large bulk of your time and energy (not to mention sanity) to learn at least enough web publishing, programming, graphics manipulation and basic server administration to get your web business online. Nevertheless, you will still need to cough up the cash for your own domain name and hosting package.
Maybe some of you are already shouting, “Hell, I can get high quality hosting for free on Blogger/Blogspot and it won’t cost me a dime!” Yes, that’s true. You can even host your Blogger account for free using your own domain name. However, whether you realize it or not, there will come a time when Blogger, however stable and customizable it may be, will no longer cut it for a money making web site. Same goes with all free hosting services out there.
That is why you need to be on a paid server. You’re paying not only for the server costs. but more importantly for the freedom to implement whatever necessary for you to be making money online.
If you need purchase a domain name or a decent hosting package I would recommend that you go with GoDaddy. You can also get 10% off the price of any product you buy from GoDaddy by using this coupon code before checking out: cjcdeal111. The coupon code will be expiring soon, so you better use it ASAP!
If you’re not willing to invest what is literally the absolute bare minimum outlined above, you’re still not ready to make money online. Don’t feel too bad about it though, the Internet is already chock full of online money making “gurus” who haven’t even seen a dollar from their half-hearted online endeavors. They obviously don’t need you to join their ranks.
