Yeah, I know this is a very wordy post (and multiplied by 2!). I'm very happy that at least one person sees the importance of maintaining a healthier PPS :)

You're spot on. But remember that garbage contains lots of cans and other recyclable materials. One can may not give you much money at the recycling centre... but a tonne of cans?
