Weird Spam Comments

For the past two weeks or so, I’ve been receiving a lot of (attempted) spam comments with the following format:

ceeb423e80bb…

ceeb423e80bb32123aa0…

For the name, it will be the first 10 characters of the seemingly random string (it could even be part of some hash algo like MD5), and it will be linked to a .us URL of the same hostname (eg. http://ceeb423e80bb.us).

Have you experienced something similar on your blog?

i’ve experience that sort of command almost hundred times before. My guess is probably some spambot attempting to bypass word-base spam filter or attempting to poison the spam-detection filter. either way, it is not a valid comment as should be treated as such
