		<description>using swaret for packages update is really awesome and i define VERSION=current so I can live with the tip top security patch and bug fix . but i think it's not suitable for production environment which is better do it manually. i'm afraid it will break something and you would end up fired by the management because you make them lost some $$$$..ehhe..be careful with an automation tools :)</description>

		<description>I guess your estimate might be quite accurate. However, the good thing about Slackware is that you can always opt to use the -current tree if you like living on the bleeding edge.

And when you're using -current, version numbering doesn't really matter that much :)
