Interview By Suanie

I’ve asked Suanie to interview me, and she has. Let the fun begin!

1. If you had dictatorship rule over Malaysia, what would you do/change?

The first thing I’ll do is to change the constitution so that Malaysia will be a Corporate Democracy. How does this work?

Simple. Basically I’ll come up with a Corporate Malaysia Index, a share market where the shares of all government bodies will be traded. Initially, I will own most of the shares for every “company” and will divest the boring ones.

Whoever has the majority share will control the particular government body. Simple? Yes? Next question please.

2. Would you rather be rich and stupid or poor and smart?

Easy one. Rich and stupid, of course. In fact, every rich person in the world is stupid. Everyone else says that what they’re trying to do initially cannot be done… but they do it anyway, and getting rich is just a side-effect.

3. Would you rather kill a nest of ants or a single puppy?

If the need arises, I would obliterate entire galaxies. So, I guess it makes no difference.

4. Star Trek or Star Wars? Why?

Neither. Because stars have the right to not be trodded upon and be at peace with their own kind, just like you and me.

5. If someone were to offer you 1 million euros to suck a guy’s dick, would you do it?

No. But I’d consider licking a clean shaven pussy for half the amount offered :P

The Official Interview Game Rules (copied to be passed on)

  2. I will respond by asking you five questions - each person’s will be different.
  3. You will update your journal/blog with the answers to the questions.
  4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview others in the same post.
  5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Dual-core Days Coming?

Is dual-core computing now ready for the masses? Well, an introduction of the new Athlon 64 X2 by AMD, will give Intel some competition in this market. Especially since their Pentium D processor has been hogging all the limelight for the past few weeks.

Some web sites have already started comparing the two processors, in terms of performance and pricing. Me? I’m just glad that the processor industry is competitively healthy :)

The Musical Baton

This idea must’ve came from some RIAA execs’ mad brainstorming session, but I’ll give it a go anyway…

I’ve been passed the Musical Baton by Basu, and being the sport that I am, I will participate. In fact, this would be my first ever meme participation :D

  • Total volume of music on my computer:
  • 445MB. Yes, really. I don’t keep much Oggs on my box.

WordPress Security Update

There’s a security update for WP. More info can be read here (WP Dev Blog) and on Blogging Pro.

Basically you just need to insert one line in /wp-includes/template-functions-category.php, somewhere after line 130:

function get_the_category_by_ID($cat_ID) {
$cat_ID = (int) $cat_ID;
$category = &get_category($cat_ID);
return $category->cat_name;
}

The bolded code is what you have to add.

Elderly Surfers Find The Net ‘Vital’

The BBC has a nice writeup on “Silver Surfers”, basically those who are over 55.

An interesting quote from the article:

More than half of over-55s online say the net gives them a new lease of life. Seven percent look for love online, and 22% play games.

Looking for love online? Probably explains the popularity of viagra spams many of us get on a daily basis :P Me? I prefer the good old Kopi Tongkat Ali (coffee with Eurycoma longifolia)

Although the article is UK-centric, it’s interesting to see how older folks are using the Internet to communicate with others, getting new friends and to entertain themselves with online poker, bingo and other games. It offers an interesting insight into how this technology is changing the lives of the elderly.
