BlogRush has a lot of potential… to be the biggest Web 2.0 burst bubble that it.

It’s hyper-hyped baptism promised so much, and just over one month later delivered the following:

• A beautiful stats panel… but in screenshot “spy photo” only
• A “major update” that will be delivered next week… since almost two weeks ago
• An excellent source of “free traffic”

So have you thrown your BlogRush widget out yet? What’s taking you so long!

I’ll be honest, I’m this close to throwing out the BlogRush widget on HTNet. Why? Frankly, I don’t think it delivers even 1% of what’s promised. It takes up valuable screen real estate but only gives me around 12 visitors.

I decided to check out my BlogRush dashboard, for what could be the last time; lo and behold, there’s an update! The update post has some teaser screenshots of the “new and improved” BlogRush dashboard. Mind you, those are just screenshots, so I’m not really putting my hopes up. But anything at all would be better than the terse text stats BlogRush members have been staring at for more than a week.

Let’s see if BlogRush delivers this time around… frankly, I’m running out of patience with this seemingly over-hyped service.

UPDATE: I am no longer recommending BlogRush as a source of blog traffic. After using it for more than a month, I can conclude that BlogRush is a total failure.

After a few days of using BlogRush, my Syndication Credits (that’s what BlogRush calls an impression on their widget) is as illustrated in this graph:

I’m no fan of MLM, because I honestly think that it’s just a nicer name for a pyramid scheme.

Strangely, MLM was the first thing that came to my mind when I read about BlogRush. Why? Well, mostly due to language such as this (quoting the latest update from my BlogRush dashboard):
