Advertlets Goofs Its Domain Renewal

If you visit Malaysian blogs frequently, you’d probably find yourself redirected to a domain called adbaaz.com quite often for the past few hours or so. The problems is because Advertlets (I’d link them but continue reading to find out why I won’t), an online advertising company that has its customer base mostly in Malaysia forgot to, wait for this, renew their domain registration! Therefore, all pages that has their ad serving JavaScript will redirect visitors to adbaaz.com.

Let’s face it, the earth is not doing as well as she did a couple of decades ago. All the uncontrolled development we’ve done is taking its toll on mother nature. Those are the facts that are implied in this well written article from the New York Times: Tracing Business Acumen to Dyslexia. Although I appreciate the wonderful research that author Brent Bowers has put into the article, I’m not really surprised by the findings.

I’ve been programming web applications for more than a decade. Over the years, I’ve heard of all sorts of business ideas that need implementation, and one of the most common idea is setting up an online shop.
