KUALA LUMPUR, 28 February 2008 – Green Packet Berhad (Green Packet) today announced a 24% jump in revenue from the previous year to RM122.84 million for its financial year ended 31 December 2007.

However, the company posted a lower pre-tax profit of RM30.99 million as compared with RM58.56 million in FY2006. Profit after tax (PAT) and minority an interest was RM30.16 million as compared with the previous corresponding period at RM55.29 million.

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 FEBRUARY 2007 – Mesdaq listed mTouche Technology Berhad (mTouche) today announces its results for fourth quarter of financial year ended 31 December 2007 (Q4FY07). The Group announces a revenue and loss of RM45.2 million and RM12.5 million respectively.

The Group’s revenue is down by 15.2 percent from RM 53.3 million of the same period ending 31 December 2006. Its fourth quarter record loss of approximately RM17.8 million as compared to a profit of RM6.0 million from the previous quarter, is in line with anticipation of lower revenue generated due to adverse market condition.

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 November 2007 – UNOS, a Virtual SIM for mobile phones, has been recognised at the recent Mobile Innovation Summit at Macau on 12-13 November 2007 as one of the Top 50 Innovators at the GSMA’s Asia Mobile Innovation Awards. It’s been a while since we’ve seen something from Palm; but it seems that they haven’t been sitting idle. They’re about to release Palm Centro, at a sub US$100 price! Let’s hope that it’ll be priced similarly when it reaches Malaysian shores.

From the looks of it, the Centro seems much more livelier than the Treos. It runs on Palm OS 5.4.9 and comes with a built-in 1.3MP camera. The Centro also has 64MB of built-in memory. You can add up to 4GB more with a MicroSD card.

Connectivity does not seem to be a core strength of the Centro. It only has Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity and it’s not WiFi-enabled.

I think that the Centro could be a pretty decent first smartphone for non-techies.
