Let’s Help Microsoft Find Linux Patent Infringements

Since our buddies at Redmond are apparently too busy and gentlemanly to name the patents that the bad guys behind Linux have apparently infringed; I’ve decided to help them… with your help of course!

With the assistance of our good friend Google’s amazing Patent Search; I found that Microsoft has exactly 600 patents listed there… surely some of the 235 patents that Linux allegedly infringes would be in that list. Now here’s how you could help:

  • Link to or give the URL to a specific patent, and tell us which part/function of the Linux kernel; and/or any other open source application infringes that patent
  • Discuss, argue and/or bicker over whether a patent infringement had actually occured
  • Provide proof of prior art, if you think there is one
  • Link to this post to give it the exposure it deserves (you know it does deserve more attention)

What are you waiting for?! Let’s get the ball rolling!

What Can You Do With Old Computer Parts?

Apparently a lot of creative works of art.

Recycled art?

Ladies, Looking For A Nice Intelligent Guy? You’re In Luck!

Are you single lady, around 30 and looking for companionship? I have a potential “for keeps” guy lined up for you. Introducing Dabido, aka. David Stevenson… a long time loyal visitor of HTNet.

Dabido (aka David Stevenson)

David is going to celebrate his 42nd birthday on 31 May this year and has decreed that he would not like to celebrate it without a girlfriend. Personally, I’m in support of his move. David deserves companionship just like everybody else, and I hope that he will find someone suitable by his birthday.

Let me tell you a few things about David;

  • His comments are worthy of being blog posts by sheer quality and quantity
  • He is artistically and technically adept. You don’t get that package pretty often!
  • David is intelligent and nice to boot

Hell, if I were a girl, I’d be on my way to Australia now because I think I fit a lot of his requirements for an ideal partner. But lucky for you girls, I’m a full blooded guy and thus, am out of the competition.

Think you’re worthy? Read more in this post and drop a comment!

P/S: If the next Mrs. Davidson is a referred from this post, I’ll be sponsoring a three days and two nights honeymoon for you guys, at any location of your choice as long as it is in Johor, Malaysia :)

Answer To Global Warming: UFO Technology

It makes sense as well. I’ve yet to seen a UFO (in pictures or movies) that emit any kind of fume whatsoever. It seems that they somehow can manipulate the laws of physics and gravity.

Imagine the impact on climate change and our environment in general if we can integrate this technology in our aircrafts and cars. Heck, mankind’s creation are much better looking compared to those bland saucer-like aerial carriages that our inter-galactic neighbours seem to prefer.

Therefore, I’m thankful that former Canadian defense minister; Paul Hellyer, came up with a proposal that governments worldwide disclose and use secret alien technologies obtained in alleged UFO crashes to stem climate change.

At 83, he still seem to have a very sharp mind. Now why didn’t I think of that!

Are You A Starving Coder?

… with good experience in C++/C, Computer Platforms, Database Development, Graphics/Multimedia, to name a few?

Do you have enough leet ninja coding skills and motivation to code an operating system?

Do you think you can create an operating system that’s at least as “pretty” (now that’s a relative usage of the word, right here I’m comparing it to MS-DOS) as Windows XP and yet secure and unhackable as hell?

I got good news for you then… a kind and enterprising individual is now hiring a programmer to create an Operating System for him. You could be earning a massive fortune of up to US$3000 for this endeavour. Apply here.
