Install Google Analytics If You Haven’t Done It Yet

When it comes to web statistics, I’ve always been an advocate of the “Only server logs are trustworthy” principle. I still stand firm on this opinion. Recently, I installed Google Analytics here and on ServerBuzz.com. I realized that my life as a webmaster would have been much better if I had installed Google Analytics on my web sites much, much earlier.

What Is A PageRank Export And Why It Matters

If you’ve been reading on SEO and related topics, you will undeniably be familiar with the term PageRank, or it’s acronym PR.

PageRank is Google’s numerical ranking of web pages. It ranges from 0 to 10. Essentially, the more a page is linked, the higher its PR will be. Chinese Company Sues Google

A Chinese company is suing Google Inc. because the search giant’s Chinese name is too similar to it’s own. Their demand is pretty simple actually; Google should change its Chinese name to something else… anything but the Guge it’s using now:

A spokesman for Beijing Guge Science and Technology Ltd. Co. said Google’s commercial name had led to the company being constantly disturbed by people calling up its office trying to contact the search engine.

“We just want Google to change their commercial name,” Tian Yunshan, a company official, told Reuters on Friday. “We have already passed our demands on to Google … We will see what happens in court.”
