Online Tariff Finder Launched For Malaysia’s Trade Communities

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 September 2007Tradenex.com Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) and leading service provider of electronic supply chain management and collaboration services, today announces the launch of Tariff Finder Online (TFO), Malaysia’s first online search portal for trade tariffs codes.

Based on Microsoft’s .NET framework, the TFO is a powerful web-based application that allows users to search for the most up-to-date tariff information in accordance with the latest changes and rulings by the Royal Malaysian Customs (i.e. Kastam DiRaja Malaysia - KDRM).

DNA Confirms That ‘Girl In Bag’ Is Nurin Jazlin Jazimin

When the search for Nurin Jazlin Jazimin has gathered tremendous pace over the last couple of days, it’s emerged that the body of a girl found in a gym bag yesterday was indeed Nurin Jazlin Jazimin, as confirmed by DNA tests.

It makes me wonder why less than 24 hours ago, even Nurin’s parents couldn’t identify the body.

May God have mercy on Nurin’s soul. I pray that the heartless person that did this despicable act to her be brought to justice.

My Family: Malaysians

I visited a friend who just had a baby some time last week. Took a look at the babies and I noticed something that confirms what I have always thought all along; all babies look the same.

I remembered looking at my son from the newborn incubatory station. He had a few neighbours there. Two boys and three girls. I remember their faces vividly. Why? Because they all look almost identical with one another.

There were three Chinese babies and two Malay ones, including my son. But did it matter? For me, it doesn’t make the least bit of difference. Their parents were smiling while looking at their cute bundles of joy. I can relate to them. I have no doubt in my mind that none of the parents were thinking, “Is that a Malay, Indian or Chinese baby beside mine?”. And they shouldn’t.
