A lot of IT graduates from the 80s and early 90s will find that the skills developed from their university or college days are becoming obsolete with each passing day. There are many XHTML resources on the Internet, including tutorials, guides, references and even full blown eBooks. However, if I were made to recommend one (and only one) resource that would be the most useful to XHTML newbies or novices, then I have to say that it would be W3 Schools.

I’ve been reading this case study on ISPUB.com called The Elderly and the Internet and it triggered an interesting thought in my mind; Would the Internet reduce the need for elderly care? Hence, the title of this post.

In Malaysia at present, sending ones elderly parent to a nursing home is still considered taboo. Personally, I have no qualms about being sent to a nursing home should I be a burden to my children. I’ve accepted the fact that I will grow old and die. I also accepted the fact that as I become older, handling me could be troublesome. Therefore, it might be better if I were to be handled by the professionals at a nursing home.

Wow… somebody sure is taking this paid links jihad very seriously. Google has again reduced the PageRank values of various sites. The main suspected reason for this seems to lean heavily on selling Text-Link-Ads. Mind you this is just a theory at the moment… Google is taking the approach of keeping quiet for now.
